Choose Life by Ardis Whitman (Feb 1985)
After reading the article, the feeling of sharing it was gushing so high!
Thus i shared the web version of its first page on FB =)
The best paragraph I'd vote for:
"Who says we must strenuously try to rise and walk again?
The answer is that every cell in our bodies is programmed to fight for life.
We are here on earth to live - to experience whatever comes, to act on that experience as well as we can, and hence to grow.
Life is a candle meant to burn ever brighter, a fire meant to light other fires. It is a gift from God and an inheritance for those who come after."
In the article, writer tells How do we learn to rise and walk?
which i found really practical!
First, invite yourself to live.
Forgive yourself - and others.
Regain your self-esteem.
Stop expecting that you will fail.
Return to the world of other people.
Find a compassionate person to whom you can talk from the bottom of your heart.
Reach out to help.
Believe in miracles.
Guard your own enthusiasms, however frail they are.
Look around you, in the lovely world of nature.
And finally,
Practice gratitude.
These might be the steps i should be taking, one by one, to cherish life again!
