Video call

today, i cherish the invention of video call
i was sitting at a subway outlet having my sub of the day
(which i've been having a crazy idea of having sub of the day for 1 whole week
differenf coourse of it everyday, this has been the second day continously.. hehe..)

a guy sat down at a table just in front of me
holding his burger on one hand and another hand holding a cellphone
n at that time he was in a call, it was a video call

then i saw him sat down
put down his subway burger
then started to use the emptied hand to 'talk' sign language

yes, he is mute

for all these while
for so many years since the invention n population of video calling
i've never really have the feeling of so strongly cherishing the creation of this new way of telecommunication
to an ordinary person
or shall i say a healthy person without any impairment
what is a phone to u?
some might only need a simple one to do voice calls
some might get a fancy phone with lots of functions
some might get a smart phone n keep sliding the screen n tapping now n then

we all wanted best feature for our phone, for our use
actually what we NEEDED is only a voice calls n sms enabled phone
but for mute or deaf
they needed more
they needed such thing as facetime, as video calls
but we, we only WANT it, it's not a need for us

yes, i have no right to say that since im one of the screen sliding n tapping person
n at this very moment
im actually recording my feeling of cherishing this whole idea of video calling on a tablet pc

but i have the right to salute to the creator of video calling
well, im not doing any googling right now
so, to whoever you are, thanks for inventing video call
u might not know how much u have changed the life for ppl with disabilities
